What is an Immigration Evaluation?
An immigration psychological evaluation is a written assessment prepared for use in an immigration matter. It documents an individual's psychological functioning and, where relevant, the emotional impact of the circumstances at issue, so that the record before the decision-maker reflects clinical findings rather than assertion alone.
The evaluation typically involves a clinical interview, review of any records you provide, and psychological testing selected to fit the referral question. The result is a comprehensive written report suitable for submission by your attorney.
Dr. Khanali conducts these evaluations in English or Persian/Farsi. Assessing someone in their first language matters here more than almost anywhere else: an account of distress given in a second language can understate what a person actually experienced.
